Curriculum
The Cubs Corner Curriculum
Playful Learning. Real-World Readiness.
At Cubs Corner, we believe learning should be joyful, purposeful, and deeply personal. Our curriculum is shaped by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and designed to support children through every stage of early development—from their first discoveries to their final steps before starting school.
Through play, exploration, and meaningful connections, we help each child grow into a curious, confident, and capable learner.

Our Core Values
Our curriculum is grounded in three guiding principles that support every child’s journey:

Being
Childhood is a time to enjoy the present and make sense of the world through play. At Cubs Corner, we give children the space to wonder, express themselves, and simply be who they are—with no pressure to rush through this important stage of life.

Becoming
Every day is a new opportunity to learn and grow. Our educators support each child’s development by building their confidence, independence, and readiness for the next big step—both at school and in life.

Belonging
Children thrive when they feel safe, connected, and valued. We create a welcoming community where children form strong bonds with their peers and educators—and where families feel like part of our Cubs Corner family.
A Space Designed for Discovery
Our purpose-built centre is a place where curiosity comes to life. With light-filled classrooms, natural play areas, and engaging learning zones, children are encouraged to explore, create, question, and collaborate every day.
We know that learning doesn’t happen in isolation. That’s why we work in partnership with families—valuing your insights and ensuring your child’s journey reflects who they are, where they come from, and what they love.
Learning That Lasts
At Cubs Corner, we don’t just teach children—we inspire lifelong learners. From early literacy and numeracy to social skills, problem-solving, and emotional resilience, we equip children with everything they need to step confidently into the world.
Our curriculum lays the foundation for a lifetime of learning—one joyful, meaningful moment at a time.

Educational Program & Practice
Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) views children’s lives as characterised by belonging, being and becoming. The Montessori Curriculum is a child-centred learning framework that incorporates the cognitive, physical, social and emotional aspects of child development. In both approaches the children are always connected to family, community, culture and place.

Children's Health & Safety
Children's health, safety and wellbeing are prioritised and promoted.

Physical Environment
Environment is the third teacher behind the parents and the educators. Welcoming indoor and outdoor spaces enable children to play, learn and develop their knowledge and skills.

Staffing Arrangements
We recruit passionate and genuine educators through a variety of means. These educators are qualified or working actively towards obtaining qualifications. They are loving, caring, responsive and have integrity.

Relationships with Children
Positive and trusting relationships with educators help children to play, learn and develop.
Collaborative Partnerships with Families & Communities
Services partner with families and communities to enhance children's learning and wellbeing.
